Palette to Palate 2020

Palette to Palate, Experiential Dining for Patrons of the Fine and Culinary Arts in Naples, to be held April 29 and 30 by Naples Originals and the Naples Art District

NAPLES (Feb. 24) – Impasto and pesto, sfumato and starters, and gouache and grappa will be served up at local restaurants as skillful Naples Art District artists team up with creative Naples Originals restaurants for a one-of-a-kind experience that spotlights Naples’ culinary and cultural talent.

For two nights — Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30, 2020 — more than a dozen local artists will set up pop-up studios within each participating restaurant, capturing their unique vision of the eatery’s ambiance and vibes. Diners can observe the artists at work, whose finished works will later be auctioned to benefit local charities.

“The local, independent restaurants of Naples Originals welcome fellow artists for a celebration of creativity. Our chef-driven restaurants are known for their culinary artistry and we’re thrilled to host these meetings of ‘palettes to palates,’” said Beth Preddy, spokesperson for Naples Originals, which was founded in 2008 to enhance awareness of Naples’ locally-owned and operated restaurants and inspire a more vibrant local dining scene.

The participating artists are based in the Naples Art District, located in the heart of a bustling industrial area of interior designers and artisans which has developed into the largest concentration of professional working artist studios and galleries in Southwest Florida. Its mission is “to provide our community, and its visitors, with a unique visual and cultural destination that promotes the arts and art education for all ages.”
